My journey to today

This entry for today may be a bit longer than what you will see regularly from my blog.  Here's a tad bit more about me.

Almost two months ago, I was laid off, unexpectedly, from a job I loved.  I was with the company almost 5 years and did not see this one coming.  Since that day on February 11, 2026, I have been struggling to find work, but I do the best I can to keep up with the requirements of the unemployment program here in the state of NH.  I send resumes, I get rejections.  Sometimes, not even anything back.  I have had a few interviews but nothing has yet to compare to the job I loved.  Now, I know that there has to be something better for me out there and even though I have grieved the loss of the job I loved, it's certainly like finding a needle in a haystack these days to find honest work.

Today, I decided to try and see if I could do something different with myself and my passion for paper crafting.  I was introduced to Scrapbooking by my dear friend, Karen, who has not only been a great friend but a mentor to me when it came to creating.  She is ALWAYS there to critique or give suggestions.  I owe most of what I know to her.  But today, I wanted to share my crafts with the world.  And maybe I can encourage, Karen, to showcase some of what she does, too!

I am an avid YouTube watcher and love the crafting community on that platform.  My plan is to utilize YouTube better for myself as well, in this new journey.  You will find, in time, my story will be posted there as well.  I would also love to not only project share and tell stories about my life but would love to have some tutorials to show how I may have completed a project.

Thank you for stopping by!  Please feel free to send me an email or check out my YouTube page to let me know how I am doing or if you have any suggestions for this site or my YouTube channel.  Take care, Friends! :o)
